Referral Criteria

Verto Living provide supported accommodation to men and women who are vulnerable and/or
have multiple complex needs.

Before referring someone into our service please see the definitions below to confirm the person you are
referring meets our criteria.

VULNERABLE PERSON

A vulnerable person is someone who is subject to behaviours or conditions that cause harm or potential harm to their physical and/or mental health and emotional well-being or prevents them from carrying out their normal day to day routine through fear and intimidation and is in need of care and support.

MULTIPLE COMPLEX

While the needs and background of people with multiple complex needs will vary they are may be defined as having multiple disadvantage with two or more of the following issues :

| Homelessness | Substance misuse | Mental health issues |

| Domestic abuse including sexual exploitation | Contact with the criminal justice system |

| Poverty | Trauma | Physical ill-health | Physical disability | Learning disability |

Lack of family connections or support networks |
